Hi: I just wanted to send you a note to let you know that my youngest daughter, Erika, was diagnosed with Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma in 2002 at the age of 5. She is now 8 (and a half, as she is always quick to remind me), in second grade, and doing just fine. I wanted to let you know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and that there are kids out there that have had this horrific disease that are now perfectly healthy. We still worry, and we still fly down to St. Jude's once a year for scans and follow up, but life has returned to normal for us. Chase will be in our thoughts and prayers. Fortunately, he will not remember most of the bad things - Erika remembers only the good stuff, like staying home with mommy and playing with all of her friends in Memphis. When we go down there now, she says she feels really weird because she has hair and most of the other kids don't! We will be thinking of you and praying for a speedy recovery for Chase.
